Renaissance
Join us for a walk through Renaissance Rome. From
Michelangelo’s oft-missed statue of Moses – where we’ll begin detecting the
qualities of grandeur and severity which make the city’s architecture,
sculpture and painting specifically Roman in flavor – to a day filled with frescoes by Raphael,
palaces and cloisters by Bramante, and a pleasant lunch at a local
trattoria. In the afternoon, we’ll cross
one of the world’s most beautiful foot bridges into Trastevere and culminate
with Bramante’s ‘Tempietto’ and a spectacular view of the city from the
Janiculum hill.
